Corrections & Clarifications Policy

Trust is built through transparency. When errors of fact occur, Real Briefly promptly, clearly, and publicly corrects the record.

How Corrections Are Handled

  • Prominence: Significant corrections are noted at the top or bottom of the article, specifying what was changed and the timestamp of the update.
  • Clarifications: If an article is factually accurate but lacks necessary context or language is ambiguous, a clarification note is appended.
  • No Stealth Edits: We do not secretly modify factual assertions without an explanatory note.

Submitting a Correction Request

If you believe a Real Briefly article contains a factual inaccuracy, please submit a correction request detailing:

  1. The URL and headline of the story.
  2. The exact phrase or paragraph in question.
  3. Documented evidence, official filings, or primary sources demonstrating the inaccuracy.
